The COGS Prepares 4 Life Market Store provides meaningful opportunities for individuals to develop practical skills while producing high-quality products for the local community. We take pride in growing a wide variety of organically cultivated fruit and vegetables without the use of pesticides, promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.Our plant nursery offers a wide selection of healthy plants, flowers, and seasonal produce, all grown with care by the people we support. From sowing seeds and nurturing young seedlings to watering, maintaining, and caring for each plant until it is fully grown, our service users are involved in every stage of the growing process. This hands-on experience helps develop practical horticultural skills, confidence, patience, and a strong sense of achievement while promoting wellbeing and a connection with nature.
Our workshop also creates handcrafted wooden products, including bird houses, hedgehog houses, planters, and a range of bespoke items made to order. We are pleased to work with members of the local community to create custom woodwork projects tailored to their individual requirements.
Through every aspect of the Market Store, participants gain valuable hands-on experience, build confidence, and develop practical skills in horticulture, woodworking, customer service, and teamwork, helping to prepare them for greater independence and future employment opportunities.
