Funding and Funders

Sales and Donations

COGS Prepares 4 Life CIO relies on funding to ensure it's continuation. Our plants, woodwork sales and arts & crafts items bring in the majority of our income, as well as public donations. We are registered for Gift Aid with the HMRC which enables us to make the most of any donations we receive, whether big or small.

External Funders

The support we get from external funders is crucial to the continuation of the charity, and we are delighted to shout about who funds our projects and proudly supports the charity and recognize how essential the service is, and the good work that it does to improve not only the lives of the service users, but also the surrounding community as well.

On 21st June 2024 we were absolutely delighted to be notified that the npower Business Solutions Foundation wanted to award us with a grant for £6061.00!! This money is to ensure that our activities can keep on running with no interruptions through lack on funds. It will be split between gardening activities, woodwork activities and arts & crafts activities!

These guys support us year after year and are our local funder that helps us keep the lights on. In June 2024 they gave us £900 to help with our rent for 3 months! Fantastic news! Thank you We Love Lichfield which is ran through The Community Foundation for Staffordshire

We would like to thank William A Cadbury Charitable Trust for their Generous grant of £750.00 to help towards our running costs.

We are so pleased to have received a £1000 donation from The Axis Foundation towards our Grow-Cook-Eat project! The money will go towards buying additional ingredients for the lads to add to their homegrown fruit and vegetables so they can learn to cook meals that they can replicate at home! Thank you!

We were delighted to be notified that The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust had agreed to award us a grant of £760.00 to purchase a huge amount of compost and manure to replenish the planters and vegetable beds we use around the site. Not only will this give our plants a boost, but it will help keep the lads fit and active shovelling all that muck around!! :-D

After searching for organisations who could help us work towards a sustainable and low impact service The Hedley Foundation gave us a wonderful grant of £2000.00 to enable us to purchase a solar power system and a recirculation fan for our greenhouse!
